WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
THE STEP-BY-STEP PUBLIC SERVICE RESUMES CAREER DOCUMENT PRODUCTION PROCESS
Step 1
Once your payment has been processed, you will receive an email confirming your payment. You will also receive an order email, which is also sent to your Writer. This email contains details about your order such as any due dates and what you are required to provide, including the very important Resume Information Form.
Step 2
The Writer assigned to your order will make contact by phone and/or email to prepare for and arrange your consultation, as well as remind you of any information you are required to provide. Please ensure you schedule a time that you will be able to give your full attention to the Writer.
Step 3
PRIOR to your consultation, you are required to email your assigned Writer the following;
§ Your completed Resume Information Form
§ Existing resume (if you have one)
§ Copy of the position advertised if you are applying for a specific role
§ Any other relevant documentation that may assist with your order
(Email addresses are included in the confirmation email with Resume Information form. Please ensure all correspondence between you and the Writer is cc’d to admin@selectresumes.com.au.).
DURING your consultation, you must be prepared to work collaboratively with your writer. This includes answering any questions asked with detail, as well as explaining any industry specific terms and information to be considered. Your Writer is not expected to be an industry expert and the information included in your documents is only as detailed as you are able to provide.
Your telephone consultation will last anywhere between 30 minutes to one hour. During this time, your Writer will ask you questions about your career history, yourself, your professional goals and aspirations. In the instance you have a key selection criteria or statement order, you will be required to provide demonstrated examples that back up and substantiate your claims to the specified points. This is your opportunity to be open and honest and share as much as possible so that the Writer can create a professional, compelling and accurate representation of your professional self that will successfully sell you to potential employers. Without this information, your Writer’s ability to craft a winning resume is limited.
Please note: not at any time is your Writer expected or required to make up information or examples on your behalf. All information that you provide must be factual and a direct representation of your skills, experience and/or qualifications. If you struggle to come up with suitable examples that demonstrate this, you may decide that you are not suitable for the role you are applying for. In these instances, your funds will be held in credit for a more suitable application or your Writer may provide you with a more generic document.
Step 4
Your Writer will now use all of the information you have sent via email, as well as any notes that were taken during your phone consultation and to create your professional documents. This will be completed in time for the rest of the processes to be completed and will be based on the deadline specified in your order email.
Step 5
Your writer sends the completed content for your documents to our editing team who ensure punctuation, grammar and other errors are eliminated.
Step 6
The editing team either sends your completed documents directly to you or to our graphic design team who will create an eye-catching, unique professional design to present your information to ensure a high-quality, stand-out document that will immediately get noticed, read and remembered. This is a critical step in creating a professional and polished image of you as a candidate.
Step 7
The graphic design team send your documents to you. The entire process usually takes seven working days from the date of your consultation, unless you have specified you require an express service.
At this stage, if there are any changes that need to be made to your documents, please follow the steps outlined in the email your documents are attached to. This usually involves contacting your Writer directly for any content changes, our editing team for any spelling or grammatical issues, or our graphic design team for any design-related concerns.
